Velociraptor was a meat-eating dinosaur, known as a "raptor", that originally lived in the Cretaceous deserts of Mongolia and was related to Utahraptor. Its sickle claw was used when it was killing its prey. In 2018, Velociraptor was rescued from Isla Nublar and has since migrated to USA and Costa Rica.
If you see a Velociraptor in the wild, approach it with caution and at your own risk. NEVER feed a Velociraptor in case it attacks you.
Subtype 1
Subtype 1 was the original strain of Velociraptor, created in 1973. Subtype 1 Velociraptors were known to escape Jurassic Park and into the wild. Subtype 1 migrated to Isla Catanceros and, in the 2000s, deforestation caused this subtype to probably go extinct (we are unsure).
Subtype 2
Subtype 2 is the main subtype of Velociraptor, the successful one. Most of the recognisable Velociraptors, including Blue and Charlie, were part of Subtype 2. This strain was not created until 1998.
